HERCULES fESTIVAL OF SPORT ST ALBAN’S charity partner – RAISE: (West Hertfordshire hospitals charity)
Hercules Events have teamed up with Raise (West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity), and we encourage participants in our events to raise money for this important cause. Please take time to read about the incredible work this charity does for our hospitals in the local area:
“Whether it’s treatment for a trauma, long term illness, acute condition or pregnancy, we believe that every patient deserves the highest quality of care available. We are dedicated to supporting patient care across Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City hospitals. While our three great hospitals provide acute healthcare to the local population, we also offer a range of specialist services, serving families across North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, East Hertfordshire and beyond. Nearly a million patients need us every year.
Needless to say, as resources are squeezed across the whole NHS, charitable help has never been more needed. Donations, like yours, help fund the latest technology, environmental enhancements, staff development and the extra comforts that make such a difference to patients, day after day, above and beyond what the NHS can afford alone.
Recent examples of how charitable funds transform patients’ lives include a new ultrasound to improve cardiac care, breathing aids for terminally patients, and health and wellbeing initiatives for our busy staff. We have a number of appeals running at the moment including £29,448 toward new birthing equipment for our parents-to-be having their babies in our Alexandra Birth Centre.
You can raise funds for a specific area in the hospital, or for wherever the need is greatest. The choice is yours. But know that the money you raise will be spent locally and may well benefit you, your loved ones, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Thank you.”
‘Your fundraising can help transform patients’ lives. For example, we’re currently raising funds for new birthing equipment, giving mums-to-be more choice about how they give birth. Will you help?’
