Free Run Sessions, Unleash Your Inner Venus!

Every Wednesday evening 12th July – 6th September 2017 Time: 19:30 to 20:30

Merchant Taylors, Middlesex, HA6 2HT

General

Fall in love with running by turning it into a social event. We take the pressure off, you don’t have to be an experienced runner, you just have to be willing to put on your trainers and turn up. Join us and other like minded women on our mission to make exercise accessible to all women and unleash your inner Venus, the goddess of love and victory.

Our women only social runs are open to women of all running abilities. We want to encourage women to take take up running. Sprint, jog or walk its up to you! Take it at your own pace. You can run for as long or as little as you want. It is a circular course so no one gets left behind. Our runs are very social and we have a clubhouse bar where you are required to come in for a chat and a drink after your run. To be honest, the chat is more important than the run but I guess we are all about sport so we had to throw in some exercise. Come and make new friends and  have a well deserved drink afterwards. Once a week on Wednesday evenings, get a babysitter or your partner to look after the kids and come do something for yourself and end up looking like a Goddess. Don’t be afraid to come on your own, you won’t be on the your own for long as we all run together.

Our guided runs are free for all women and will take place every week on a Wednesday evening from  07:30pm – 8.30pm with an hour for drinks and chatting. The run course will take you around the beautiful lake of Merchant Taylors’ School which is picturesque with its abundance of wildlife and nature. Its an opportunity to unwind after a no doubt hectic day and to enjoy your exercise with like minded women. For those of you who already swim, with us, you can swim from 6.30pm and join us for the run at 7.30pm. Unfortunately the swim is not free  as someone has to pay the water safety crew.

Training for an event can be grueling and lonely but with the encouragement and support of other runners it can be a fun process. You don’t have to be training for an event either, you can just come because you want to take up running or you just need to get out of the house. We hope that you will join in the fun and come and make some new friends and even burn a few calories which is a bonus and get fitter. Running is also excellent for fitness and getting toned and of course all Godesses have toned legs and you are going to be one of them!
